Zugvogeltage: In Ruhe ziehen lassen – Was der Vogelzug und die ostfriesische Teezeremonie gemeinsam haben
17.10.2024 - 12.10.2025
The Wadden Sea, the scene of the East Atlantic bird migration, a source of food and a place of rest, allows the well-traveled birds to "refuel" and rest. Just as the tea at an East Frisian tea ceremony has to steep in peace, we allow the migratory birds to take their resting places in peace here in the fall so that they can continue their journey south strengthened after a few weeks. On a guided walk along the salt marsh and on the beach, we learn why the birds fly south, where they fly to and which flight route they prefer. From the dyke, you have a good overview of the resting activity and can observe oystercatchers, dunlins, curlews and other species relatively close up. After walking back to the National Park House on the beach side, we invite you to an East Frisian tea ceremony.
