In the course of our business and website operations, we process data.

This also includes disclosure by transmission to third parties and, where applicable, to so-called third countries outside the European Union ("EU") and the European Economic Area ("EEA"). Where we transfer data outside the EU or the EEA, we have marked this accordingly below.

The data concerned in detail, processing purposes, legal bases, recipients and, where applicable, transfers to third countries are listed below:

Log file during website visit

We log your website visit. In doing so, we process:

  • Name(s) of our accessed website(s),
  • date and time of access,
  • the amount of data transferred,
  • the browser type and version,
  • the operating system used by you
  • the referrer URL (the previously visited website),
  • your IP address,
  • the requesting provider.

The legal basis for data processing is our overriding legitimate interest in the ongoing provision and security of our website in accordance with Art. 6 (1) f) DSGVO.

The log file is deleted after seven days, unless it is needed to prove or clarify specific legal violations that have become known within the retention period.

Hosting

To provide our online presence, we use the services of web hosting providers who process the above-mentioned data and all data to be processed in connection with the operation of this website (log file when visiting the website) on our behalf.

The legal basis for data processing is our overriding legitimate interest in providing our website in accordance with Art. 6 (1) f) DSGVO.

Contacting

If you contact us or send us an inquiry, we process the following data from you for the purpose of processing and handling your inquiry: Name, contact details -if provided by you- and your message.

The legal basis of the data processing is our obligation to fulfill the contract and/or to fulfill our pre-contractual obligations pursuant to Art. 6 (1) b) DSGVO and/or our overriding legitimate interest in processing your request pursuant to Art. 6 (1) f) DSGVO.

Contract processing

If you place an order with us (e.g. catalog, voucher and TöwerCard orders), we process your order data to handle the contractual relationship between you and us.

The legal basis for the data processing is the fulfillment of our contractual obligations pursuant to Art. 6 (1) b) DSGVO and, in individual cases, the fulfillment of our legal obligations pursuant to Art. 6 (1) c) DSGVO.

We transmit your address data and, if necessary for the execution of the contract, your e-mail address to the company commissioned with the delivery.

We transmit your transaction data (name, date of order, payment method, date of dispatch and/ or receipt, amount and payee, bank details or credit card data, if applicable) to the payment service provider commissioned to process the payment.

Feratel TOSC5 - Booking tool

When booking accommodation or ordering brochures, we use the online booking tool TOSC5 of feratel media technologies AG, Maria-Theresien-Straße 8, 6020 Innsbruck, Austria. In order to display the booking tool, your IP address as well as device and browser identification are transmitted to feratel and, together with the data you entered in the booking form, are transmitted directly to feratel, where processing for booking purposes takes place. We as the website operator have no direct access to your data in the course of this.

The legal basis of the data processing is our obligation to fulfill the contract and/or to fulfill our pre-contractual obligations according to Art. 6 para. 1 b) DSGVO and/or our overriding legitimate interest in processing your booking/order according to Art. 6 para. 1 f) DSGVO.

Regiondo - booking tool

When booking experiences, we use the booking tool Regiondo of Regiondo GmbH, Neumarkter Str. 63, 81673 Munich, which we integrate both in the processing of the conclusion of the contract and the payment processing. Regiondo GmbH is thereby authorized in the context of online booking to conclude the sale of our offers on our behalf with you. Regiondo processes the data you enter in the booking form, including payment data, directly for booking purposes. We, as the website operator, do not have direct access to your data in the course of this.

TrustYou Rating Widget

In order to be able to display recommendations and ratings from guests, we use the guest feedback solution TrustYou from TrustYou GmbH, Steinerstraße 15, 81369 Munich, Germany on our website. In doing so, your IP address is transferred to TrustYou and all service providers involved in the operation of the service, where processing takes place for advertising purposes, namely displaying your rating with your consent, which you may give to TrustYou. We, as the website operator, do not have direct access to your data in this process.

Travel cancellation insurance

On our site, you have the option of taking out travel cancellation insurance via a form directly integrated from the website of ERGO Reiseversicherung AG, Rosenheimer Straße 116, 81669 Munich. The requested data will be collected directly by ERGO and processed by ERGO on its own responsibility.

Newsletter

In order to provide you with regular information about our company and offers, we offer to send you an e-mail newsletter. For this purpose, we use the maileon service of XQueue GmbH, Christian-Pleß-Str. 11-13, 63069 Offenbach am Main, Germany.

With your newsletter registration, we process the data you entered during registration (e-mail address as well as other voluntary information). To prevent misuse, we will send you an e-mail after your registration asking you to confirm your registration (double opt-in procedure). In order to be able to prove the registration process in a legally compliant manner, your registration is logged. This concerns the time of registration and confirmation as well as your IP address.

The legal basis for sending the newsletter is your consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) a) DSGVO. The data processing in connection with the sending of the confirmation email for your registration and the associated data logging is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 para.1 f) DSGVO due to our legitimate interest in proving your proper registration.

If you give us consent, we also evaluate in the newsletters whether you have opened the newsletter as well as the scrolling and clicking behavior in the newsletter. This is done for the purpose of optimally tailoring our newsletter to your interests and improving the content of our newsletter. The legal basis for the analysis of the newsletter is your consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) a) DSGVO.

 

Design of advertisements

After completing an advertisement order for the Juist-Töwerland catalog, you can design your advertisement in a separate area of the website.

In doing so, we process your usage data (user name, password) and the data entered by you in connection with the design of the advertisement (photos, text, contact details and details of social media channels used).

The data processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 b) DSGVO for the fulfillment of the contract.

We use dynamic content ("Content") from thrid partiey to potimize the presentation and offer on our website. When visiting the website, a request is automativcally made to the server of the respective content provider by means of an interface, during which certain log data (e.g. the user's IP address) is transmitted. The dynamik content is then transmitted to our website and displayed there.

The responsible party for data processing at YouTube is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. However, when playing the videos, log data is transmitted to YouTube's servers in the USA. There is no adequacy decision of the EU Commission for data transfers to the USA. Google ensures an adequate level of data protection via the EU standard contractual clauses. A copy of the relevant EU standard contractual clauses will be provided upon request. Integration of Vimeo videos

We have integrated videos from the Vimeo portal of Vimeo Inc, 555 West 18th Street, New York, New York 10011, US on our website. When playing the videos, log data is transmitted to the Vimeo servers in the US. There is no EU Commission adequacy for data transwers to the US. Vimeo ensures an adequate level of data protection via the EU standard contractual clauses. A copy of the relevant EU standard contractual clauses will be provided upon request. Google Maps

We use the map service "Google Maps" of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland on our website to provide you with an interactive map. When displaying the map, data including your IP address and your location are transmitted to Google servers in the USA. There is no adequacy decision of the EU Commission for data transfers to the USA. Google ensures an adequate level of data protection via the EU standard contractual clauses. Duration of data storage

We store personal data only as long as it is necessary for the purposes for which it is processed or as long as consent granted by you has been revoked by you.
