On this day, Markus Großewinkelmann, National Park Ranger on Juist, will inform all interested parties at the information hut at Kalfamer at the eastern end of Juist about his work in the National Park and the Wadden Sea World Heritage Site, but above all about his colleagues who work to protect nature under very difficult conditions all over the world. In addition, anyone interested will have the opportunity to take a look at the unique bird life at the eastern end of Juist, in the adjacent salt marshes and the nearby mudflats. Bicycles can be parked at the entrance to the nature trail in the bicycle parking lot at the end of the airfield taxiway (53°40'57.0 "N 7°03'40.7 "E). Sturdy footwear is recommended for a hike to the information hut and beyond to the eastern tip (possible from 31.07. to 31.03.), as the near-natural path is sometimes muddy after prolonged rainfall. It is also advisable to take binoculars for birdwatching or a camera and sufficient provisions (last stop only at the airport restaurant).
Registration is not required.
