Island run for young and old on Juist

A running competition for bambinos, children, teenagers and adults: whether you are a highly trained or recreational runner - the Töwerland Island Run is for all sports enthusiasts! Feel the sporting spirit and the pure joy of life at the island run. A real experience for the whole family awaits you.
The island run is simply an experience for the whole family that you won't want to miss on your Juist vacation! And, who knows, maybe you'll enjoy running on Töwerland so much that you'll run with us on every vacation from now on - just like some of our Juist fans!
Please note: This year, too, some of our island runs will take place in the village and others on the beach. Make a note of where the starting point is. Although you can't really miss it.
Please note: In the event of rain or storms, the island runs will be canceled or postponed.

Please note: Registration for the 2026 island runs is not yet possible. We will collect all further information here as soon as possible so that you can register online in the usual way as soon as possible!

Routes of the island run on Juist:

Island run in the village:

• Start Kurplatz
• Course:
  • 8.4 km for adults (4 laps)
  • 4.2 km for young people (2 laps)
  • 2.1 km for children (1 lap)
  • 400 m for Bambini, from the start in the direction of the harbor, to the dyke embrasure and back (always follow the leader of the Strandsport team)
  • One lap: Start at the Kurplatz, then towards the harbor, along the street "An't Diekskant" below the dike towards Billstraße, at the school up to the beach promenade, along the beach promenade to Strandstraße, then down to the Kurplatz.

Island run on the beach:

• Start at the Red Rescue Tower No. 2
• Course:
  • 5.4 km for adults, 1 lap to the Loog, back to Tower 1 and then to the finish line
  • 2.4 km for young people, 1 lap, to the rescue station, towards tower 4 to the course marshal, then back to tower 1, past the rescue station to the finish line
  • 1.2 km for children, 1 lap to the rescue station, then to tower 2, then to tower 1, past the rescue station back to the finish line
  • 350 m for Bambini, run around the cone course

• Bambini - born 2017 - 2020 - age limit 4 to 7 years
• Children - born 2013 - 2016 - age limit 8 to 11 years
• Teenagers - born 2009 - 2016 - age limit 12 to 15 years
• Women 16+ (W16) / Men 16+ (M16) - born 1995 - 2008 - age limit 16 to 29 years
• Women from 30 (W30) / Men from 30 (M30) - born 1978 - 1994 - age limit 30 to 44 years
• Women from 45 (W45) / Men from 45 (M45) - born 1965 - 1977 - age limit 45 to 59 years
• Women 60 and over (W60) / Men 60 and over (M60) - born 1964 and older - age limit 60 and over
