Art exhibition - Cornelia Baums: "Traces - Structures - Surfaces"

The exhibition with the
theme "Traces - Structures - Surfaces" by Cornelia Baums will open in the Haus des Kurgastes from the beginning of April 2024 and will be on display
permanently until the end of March 2025 during the regular opening hours of the Haus
des Kurgastes.
Pictures are shown that are constructed using various materials - such as sand,
marble flour, rust and papers. Cracks, craters and
surfaces are created, which come together to form an unusual whole and are
worked on in a painterly way.
Through elements that can also be found in the beautiful nature of the North Sea island of Juist,
unusual images of layers and colour are created.
About the artist:
A technical draughtswoman by training, Cornelia Baums is intensively involved in painting. She has attended various seminars with renowned artists and attended various art academies. The influence of expressionist painting in particular can be seen in her pictures. She mainly paints situations and visions that exist beyond time and space.
