Feuerwehrfest / Tag der Retter

The rescue services, the fire department and the police, as well as the many volunteer rescuers, do incredible things every day. Especially on a vacation island like Juist, you become particularly aware of this. 
The Juist Volunteer Fire Brigade and the DGzRS (German Maritime Search and Rescue Service) are organizing the "Rescuers' Day". And this is where so many missions begin: At the harbor.
Look forward to a grease fire demonstration, the chance to sit in a fire engine yourself and have all kinds of heavy equipment explained to you.
Another highlight is of course the "Open Ship" of the DGzRS with short harbor tours with the sea rescue boat.

At around 17:00, the marching band of the volunteer fire department will be playing their traditional and modern brass band music for you to enjoy.
At around 19:00, the "RockShots" will be performing with their musical mix of pop, rock and Neue Deutsche Welle. 
By the way: admission is of course free of charge. Food and drinks will be provided.
