Sculpture "Trinity"
"Trinity - Dreiheit" - sculpture by Bernd F. K. Bunk
The geometric figure was given on permanent loan to the local heritage association, which came up with the idea of exhibiting the sculpture in public. The sculpture "Trinity - Dreiheit" can now be found on the grass verge on Damenpfad near the Janssen shoe store, opposite the Nordseehotel Freese. Thanks to the quick decision-making process of the municipal council, the sculpture could still be erected in December 2025.The artwork is part of the "Waste separation and recycling on the island of Juist" series. Artist Bunk himself was part of the committee that realized the Otto-Leege-Pfad as a complete work of art.
Bernd F. K. Bunk
Bunk lived and worked on Juist for almost thirty years, more precisely: in the Loog. It was there that he raised the issue of waste separation, which became a field trial supported by the German government. Fun fact: this is how Juist (as an island naturally made for such experiments) came to be a pioneer in waste separation in Germany.Art and creativity on Juist
Töwerland is a true island of art, as there are small and large works of art in various corners that portray the island and impressively depict its peculiarities. In addition to the many outdoor sculptures and works of art, the exhibitions in the Altes Warmbad and the Haus des Kurgastes are also among the art oases on the island of Juist.Characteristics
