Zugvogeltage: Ja, wo sitzen sie denn? – Einstieg in die Vogelbeobachtung
17.10.2023 - 14.10.2026
Experience the diversity of wading and waterfowl on an exciting bird-watching tour along the dike
At high tide, many wading and waterfowl rest in the immediate vicinity of the harbor. Oystercatchers, in particular, love to gather in this area. Other migratory bird species often join them as well. From the dike—equipped with binoculars—you can observe them there exceptionally well. We want to give you a glimpse into the diversity of migrating and overwintering wading and water birds and introduce you to different species in more detail. You’ll also have the chance to practice using binoculars.
Registration is required. Please bring binoculars and, if available, a field guide; binoculars can be borrowed free of charge if needed. Subject to wind and weather conditions.
Equipment: Rain gear, binoculars; Accessibility: The path to the observation point is paved. There are no seating areas.
For more information, please contact the National Park Center. Online registration for this event is here.
