Salt Marsh Tour on Juist
Join us on a discovery tour of the salt marsh. We’ll walk along the old island railroad track from the dike toward the mudflats and take a closer look at the salt marsh habitat. You’ll learn about the unique features of this habitat and discover all sorts of interesting facts about the typical salt marsh plants and the creatures that live there. (Duration: approx. 2 hours)The paths are uneven, and sturdy footwear is absolutely required. Walking barefoot is not possible. After heavy rainfall or flooding, there may be puddles of water and mud on the trails, so rubber boots are recommended in such cases. If interested, rubber boots (sizes 36–46) can be rented at the National Park Center for a fee of €2 per pair.
This event is intended for adults. Interested children and teens ages 10 and up are welcome to participate.
