Juister Sternstunden - Bildershow: Gibt es außerirdisches Leben?
17.05.2026 - 24.05.2026
Right on the North Sea island of Juist, we seem to be so close to heaven. The perfect opportunity to address exciting questions:
- We make the distances in the universe tangible. Let's imagine the sun as a grapefruit, for example. How big and how far away would the Earth and the other planets be? Is there life outside our globe? What is the current state of science?
- The Earth as a sphere: Are the people of New Zealand upside down? And what is the curvature of the earth anyway?
- We love satnav, but how could we navigate before GPS was invented?
- Juist lies on the 7th longitude and the 54th latitude. Which places are on the same longitude or latitude? What do these places have in common?
- Technical term "bingo": We clarify technical terms such as celestial equator, ecliptic and many others.
Meeting point: at the Haus des Kurgastes.
Duration: approx. 1.5 hours
Costs: Adults - €5, under 18s / severely disabled - €3 incl. coffee, tea, biscuits
